The British Council recently hosted the Gateway to UK Education 2024 Symposium, bringing together 78 representatives from schools, education agents, counsellors, and UK universities.
Held at the British Council’s Fuller Road auditorium in Dhaka, the event provided participants with up-to-date insights and strategies to support students in pursuing their academic aspirations in the UK, said a press release.
Among the key sessions, Divya Malhotra, customer account manager, UK visas and immigration, British high commission, New Delhi, delivered an insightful presentation on the UK student visa process. Mariam Haque Mousumi, career guidance counsellor at Scholastica, shared valuable insights from recent UCAS International Conferences. Sarker Asif Iqbal, programme coordinator for higher education at the British Council, highlighted training and engagement resources.
The symposium concluded with a warm vote of thanks from Toufiq Hasan, head of education at the British Council.
