Chinese Government Scholarship-High Level Postgraduate Program and Chinese Government Scholarship—Silk-Road Program are full scholarships established by the Ministry of Education, P.R.C., for universities to directly select and recruit outstanding young foreign students to study for a postgraduate degree in China.

About The Scholarship

Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is recruiting Master’s and PhD students for the Chinese Government Scholarship -High Level Postgraduate Program and Chinese Government Scholarship – Silk-Road Program for the year 2025. The duration of the scholarships study is three years for master’s students and four years for doctoral students. The language of instruction is generally Chinese, with some programs are available in English. Scholarships are granted for the duration of the study period determined at the time of admission, including specialized studies, and will not be extended in principle.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
  • Education background and age limit: Applicants for master’s degree programs must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
    – Applicants for doctor degree programs must received master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
  • Satisfy the appropriate language requirements for the speciality you are applying for.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Exempt from tuition, free on-campus accommodation provided;
  • Monthly allowance is offered as followings:
  • Master Degree Students: 3,000 CNY/month
  • Doctor Degree Students: 3,500 CNY/month
  • Chinese Government Scholarship Comprehensive Medical Insurance provided.

Required Documents

  • Online application forms for DUT and CSC.
  • Visa photocopy (for applicants currently in China).
  • Academic transcripts (from undergraduate program onwards).
  • Study plan or proposal (minimum 1,000 words in English or Chinese).
  • Two recommendation letters (in English or Chinese) from professors or associate professors.
  • Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood test report.
  • Passport photocopy (photo page and blank visa page; valid until after September 2024).
  • Language proficiency certificates (as per program requirements).
  • Certificate of No-Criminal Conviction.
  • Notarized highest diploma (or equivalent).
  • Passport-size photograph (3cm x 4cm).
